The soft impact protection prevents dogs up to 100 kg from falling out and keeps them safely on the loading area – but can be easily clipped on and off in 20 seconds thanks to the Loxx fastener.
All surfaces are sustainably manufactured from robust, abrasion-resistant, largely waterproof outdoor fabrics. Simply hose off or wash after a walk in the woods – and you’re done!

The mobile side walls offer soft impact protection for four-legged friends weighing up to 100 kg. And a Y-leash holds the dog between two airline points and end fittings with a high tensile load. This limits the freedom of movement to a certain extent – for the dog’s own protection!

To keep the ecological footprint of our bikes as small as possible, we rely on short, regional transport routes for the individual parts and manufacture all cargo bikes by hand in Stuttgart – including our own steel frame production.

Our hydraulic shock absorbers carry you light as a feather over any terrain: unmown meadows and wild mountain rivers, rattling gravel paths and stone tracks with potholes even bigger than in Berlin. Switchbacks with a 30% gradient? No problem even with a maximum weight of 250 kg.
How do we know all this? Well, we tried it out! Over 443 kilometers and 5,535 vertical meters, we put our bikes through the funniest endurance test of the year and redefined the term “going uphill” in the process: From Garmisch-Partenkirchen we rode over the Fernpass, Reschenpass, Via Claudia Augusta, Passo Campozzin and Lake Garda to Lago di Ledro in Italy.

A cargo bike for dogs offers a box or loading area for transporting four-legged friends in various sizes. Safety belts or other devices protect the dog from falls, while cushions ensure a comfortable ride. Dog cargo bikes are available in various designs and sizes. There are models with two or three wheels, with or without an electric motor and with different load capacities.
Some manufacturers also offer their children’s cargo bikes as dog cargo bikes. However, children’s cargo bikes are often not safe or comfortable for four-legged friends because they ignore the special needs of dogs: a low entry, a padded and sprung lying surface, easy-to-clean surfaces, impact protection without risk of injury and attachment points for the leash. Dog cargo bikes should be specially equipped for the needs of dogs:
Loading area: The loading area or transport box should be large enough for the dog’s body size.
Access: Access to the loading area should be low and easy to climb onto. Transport boxes are often too high and therefore impractical.
Payload: The weight of the dog must not exceed the permitted payload of the cargo bed.
Safety: The dog should be secured on the loading area with impact protection and a leash attachment. Transport boxes are usually made of wood, which is why the impact protection poses a certain risk of injury.
Motor: A cargo bike for dogs needs a powerful electric motor, because the heavier the four-legged passengers and other luggage are, the more energy and power it needs for the ride.
Suspension: A loading area without suspension means violent vibrations from stones and potholes for a dog – literally blows to the stomach.
Cleaning: After a walk in the woods or meadows, dogs are often wet and dirty, which is why quick cleaning by hosing down or washing is an important feature.

Cheaper price: bike trailers are cheaper than cargo bikes.
Less space required: Bicycle trailers take up less space and are easier to transport and store.
Compatibility: Bicycle trailers can be fitted to almost any bicycle.
Disadvantages of dog bike trailers:
Fewer uses: A cargo bike can carry more than a bike trailer.
Less comfort: The dog has less space and cannot lie down while riding.
Poorer visibility: The dog is behind the rider, which makes it more difficult to observe.
