Do you have to limit yourself on the road as if doing penance? Absolutely not! Your MÄX & MÄLEON cargo area carries the comfort after you: Throw in everything that makes the trip really nice – whether family tent or mobile refrigerator, feel good coffee system or children’s crate de luxe.

How do we know for sure? Well, we tried it out! Over 443 kilometers and 5,535 meters of altitude, we subjected our bikes to the most fun endurance test of the year and redefined the term “going steep”: From Garmisch-Partenkirchen we went over Fernpass, Reschenpass, Via Claudia Augusta, Passo Campozzin and Lake Garda to Lago di Ledro in Italy.

A ride on the PASSENGER BIKE puts a smile even on the oil–smeared lips of car fanatics. And that’s despite the fact that we really work hard to earn the dislike of the gasoline lobby: Compared to a car, MÄX & MÄLEON saves you massive CO2 emissions – and lots of cash at the gas station.
In addition, all bike components are environmentally friendly, high quality, durable and sourced as regionally as possible – exclusively in Germany and Europe.
Although this costs us time, money and nerves, it is worth it. Because the truly sustainable mobility of the future requires supply chains and production processes designed with the environment in mind.
Our demand for quality combines German engineering with sustainable handwork. Each MÄX & MÄLEON is therefore unique, made in our Stuttgart production facility. Where once the first car was made, we now build the first real alternative.

Yes. The PASSENGER BIKE is designed for transporting people. You can take adults and seniors, as well as babies, children, and teenagers on the PASSENGER BIKE. The seat is designed to carry people weighing up to 100 kg (appx. 220 lb).
In Germany, according to the StVO, adults can be transported on cargo bikes if the bike has a designated seat. It is important that your passengers fasten their seatbelts. We also recommend wearing a helmet.
Yes. The PASSENGER BIKE is ideal for babies and toddlers. Two Milea baby seats or toddler seats can be mounted on the seat bench. In addition, there are plug adapters from Isofix and Steco for car seats and baby carriers (such as Maxi-Cosi). We recommend using the weather cover when transporting babies and toddlers to protect them from wind, sun and rain.

The passenger cabin of the PASSENGER BIKE can accommodate two children at the same time – depending on their size, either on the child seat or the regular seat. To transport more children, we recommend using a trailer.
Yes. The PASSENGER BIKE is well suited for people with disabilities. Inclusion is a key aspect of sustainable biking, which is why we want to make it possible for everyone to ride our bikes. There is an optional low entry point for people with limited mobility.
If your passenger has special requirements for a secure seat, we will find an individual solution together. Please feel free to contact us. We have already implemented a wheelchair setup on the TRANSPORTER BIKE.
The PASSENGER BIKE is suitable for carrying seniors. There is an optional low entry for people with limited mobility. NOTE: Our bikes are designed for dynamics and maximum driving pleasure. Therefore, seniors (and all other people) should only steer themselves if they are physically and cognitively capable of doing so.
Yes. There is rain and weather protection for the PASSENGER BIKE. We have a weather cover rain shelter for babies and children. Generally, children fit in the rain shelter until the end of their primary school years. For older children, teenagers, and adults, there is a waterproof weather cover that protects against rain. When combined with a warm rain jacket (or winter clothing), you can ride comfortably throughout the year.
Yes. The PASSENGER BIKE is a sustainable cargo bike for transporting people. All components used are environmentally friendly, high quality, durable, and regionally produced – almost exclusively in Germany and Europe. We keep all supply chains as short and sustainable as possible. All bikes from MÄX & MÄLEON are hand-welded and assembled in Stuttgart and are therefore unique.
All bikes from MÄX & MÄLEON may not exceed the permissible total weight of 250 kg. The PASSENGER BIKE weighs 68 kg, so up to 182 kg can be loaded – a maximum of 100 kg on the loading area and 110 kg as the weight of the riders. (1 kg = appx. 2.2 lb)
Yes. All bikes from MÄX & MÄLEON can be leased via Jobrad. In addition, you can also lease your bike here among others: BusinessBike, Bikeleasing, Lease a Bike, mein-dienstrad.de. Even as a self-employed person, you can lease your bike. The air-suspended tilting technology of the PASSENGER BIKE combines the advantages of a tricycle with the sporting driving style of a two-wheeler. Thanks to the two front wheels, you can ride the bike safely and comfortably even with a high payload. The tilting technology improves cornering significantly and supports a dynamic driving style.
Yes. The PASSENGER BIKE is the most versatile cargo bike for transporting both people AND goods. The seat bench is also a lockable trunk. With just two steps, you can remove the flexi-wall and transform the seat bench into a pure loading area. In total, you can load up to 100 kg (appx. 220 lb).
The PASSENGER BIKE is an electric cargo bike with motor assistance up to 25 km/h (appx. 15 mph). The ZF Micromobility drive is the most powerful cargo bike motor in Germany, with either 85 or 112 Nm of torque.
The PASSENGER BIKE is an electric three-wheeled cargo bike designed to offer a unique riding experience. Especially when carrying heavy loads, a three-wheeled bike is more stable than a two-wheeled bike. The chassis is stabilized with two front wheels and a tilting technology that is air-sprung, balancing the bike even in critical situations. This provides safety in wet roads, during winter and when cycling off-road. A cargo trike is less likely to tip over than a cargo bike with only two wheels, as it stabilizes on its own. With double the braking power, the bike can stop quickly and safely, even on wet roads.
