443 kilometers – 5,535 meters of elevation gain. In the summer of 2023, we subjected our cargo touring bike to the most fun endurance test of the year, redefining the term "steep going": From Garmisch-Partenkirchen, we traveled via Fernpass, Reschenpass, Via Claudia Augusta, Passo Campozzin and Lake Garda to Lago di Ledro in Italy.
In these videos we document everything we experienced and how the motor, battery, tilting technology, brakes and gears performed.
It perfectly suits my living situation in the heart of the mountainous and snowy Black Forest. It's especially comfortable for longer journeys.
The Mäx & Mäleon is incredibly sporty to ride thanks to its ingenious tilting mechanism. It has a huge payload capacity. We've used it for large shopping trips, deliveries, and even transporting equipment like lawnmowers. It's the ultimate extension to our dog walks. When our energetic Appenzeller needs a break, he can ride along comfortably. Multifunctional! Next week we're taking the Mäx & Mäleon to Holland.
