Inclusion Speedster

E-Cargo Bike for People with Disabilities

Simply hop in, ride off, explore the world – and look great doing it! The Inclusion Speedster from MÄX & MÄLEON offers people with disabilities and limited mobility new flexibility and maximum driving pleasure. Naturally, it's individually customizable.

A BREEZE FOR EVERYONE !

Get in. Let's ride . Feel the freedom.

What could be better than exploring the world together by bicycle? Wind in your hair, sunshine in your heart, the horizon open to new adventures. Rickshaw 2.0!

Limited mobility? Not on the Mäx & Mäleon. Here, the joy of life rides along – behind the handlebars with a super-powerful e-motor and suspension tilting technology, and in front on the bench with comfortable seats and safety belts for every build, age, and need.

Off to the woods! Up to the mountains! A spontaneous trip to the supermarket! On the Inclusion Speedster a fresh Breeze always blows through everyday life.

FABULOUSLY FLEXIBLE

What doesn't fit is made to fit

We didn't build special cargo bikes for people with disabilities – we built electrifying vehicles for everyone. The Mäx & Mäleon is fast, beautiful, and as fabulously flexible as a chameleon: it can be adapted to any need with incredible flexibility!

Barrier-free access, raised backrest, five-point safety harness? No problem. Bringing a wheelchair or transporting a patient lying down with the xRover rehab buggy? We've done it all before. We're passionate inventors and (almost) always find the right solution.

A real contribution to inclusion!

Our passenger bike is a real boon for the mobility of my adult daughter Lea, who has severe disabilities. She can hardly wait to get on it and loves finally being the fastest. And for us, it's an absolute relief not to have to constantly push the unwieldy wheelchair anymore.

I modified this bike to suit our son's needs so that he can sit in it without any problems.

With the support of a local association, we were able to purchase a Mäx & Mäleon Passenger Bike for our son from HoVelo in Aichach. He loves it when we ride together, and it's so much fun ride with him. I completely removed the seat from the bike, leaving the "box" empty. I installed a KFN Rehabuggy (without wheels) as a new seat, securing it with airline tie-downs and bungee cords. The wheels can be stored under the buggy when not in use, so even a visit to a beer garden during a bike ride is no problem. A bottle or drink holder can also be easily attached to the frame. We bought the tiger sticker for the hood online. A friend who works as an advertising technician made the two tiger heads, paw prints, and scratch marks for us.

For the facilities in Mosbach, participating in the Aktion Mensch program was a natural choice. Many everyday errands – to work or school, shopping, doctor's appointments – can be easily accomplished by bicycle in the district town. And at the same time, many interesting excursions are possible. "Especially in and around Mosbach, we can make excellent use of the bikes thanks to a well-developed network of cycle paths," explains facility manager Jonathan Raule-Horlacher. Tours to Buchen and along the Neckar River are already being planned.

THE INCLUSION SPEEDSTER

Accessible cargo bike for children & adults

Yes, the Inclusion Speedster is a type of rickshaw – a cargo tricycle with a passenger bench for children and adults. The difference to a regular rickshaw: the Inclusion Speedster is sportier and safer to ride because it has a powerful electric motor with Sports Chassis and a suspension system for tilting.

Yes, a rickshaw is ideally suited for transporting people with disabilities: three wheels provide the necessary support, and a passenger bench offers seating comfort.

Cargo bikes are the vehicles of the moment: they're replacing cars to create space – for Ride , greening the environment, getting around, and living in a climate-changing world. Cargo bikes are not only cheaper and more space-saving than cars, but also more climate-friendly and practical. But most importantly, they combine freedom of movement with fun.

Ultimately, it's a completely different feeling to feel the Breeze whizzing past your ears and speeding over hill and dale than to sit in traffic every day searching for a parking space. People with disabilities and limited mobility, in particular, can benefit from a cargo bike.

  • It offers independence and flexibility: people with disabilities can travel independently with cargo bikes and determine their own routes – freedom of movement increases the quality of life.
  • It offers social integration: cargo bikes can help people with disabilities participate in society and make new contacts.

There are various ways to promote cargo bikes for disabled people.

Micro-funding for accessibility from Aktion Mensch

Aktion Mensch is promoting the purchase of e-cargo bikes with Pedelec25 drive systems, specifically for transporting people with disabilities, with a grant of up to €5,000. The grant applies to cargo bikes that can carry at least two people.

Regional funding

Many German states and municipalities also offer funding programs for cargo bikes. The funding conditions vary depending on the state or municipality.

Funding through health insurance companies

In some cases, health insurance companies cover the costs of a cargo bike if it is medically necessary. The requirements for reimbursement vary from one health insurance company to another.

Funding through foundations

There are also foundations that subsidize cargo bikes for people with disabilities. The funding conditions vary depending on the foundation.

An e-cargo bike for disabled people is a bicycle with an electric motor and a transport area for cargo or people, which can be ride especially by people with physical limitations – as a rider or passenger.

E-cargo bikes for people with disabilities can have:

  • An accessible loading area that makes getting in and out easier
  • A ramp that allows a wheelchair to get in and out
  • A comfortable seat with a safety belt
  • A stable frame that remains safe even at higher speeds
  • A powerful electric motor that makes the Ride easier

Yes, the Mäx & Mäleon Inclusion Speedster can transport people lying down. The xRover Reha-Buggy can transport people up to 185cm and 100kg with ride .

Yes, an xRover rehab buggy can be mounted on the Mäx & Mäleon Inclusion Speedster . Mäx & Mäleon cargo bikes are individually adjustable, so other rehab buggies can also be mounted.

Yes, the Inclusion Speedster is a kind of Wheelchair Bike because wheelchairs can be carried on the loading platform.

The Inclusion Speedster is designed for people with balance or walking difficulties. A special feature: it even allows for the transport of wheelchairs and stretcher transport using the xRover Reha-Buggy.

The Inclusion Speedster is a rickshaw with a Sports Chassis and turbo engine – it drives much more dynamically than a typical three-wheeler.

The Inclusion Speedster has a bench seat for adults and can be individually adjusted – unlike typical cargo bikes.

The Inclusion Speedster offers a bench seat for children and adults, as well as a separate children's bench, and also child seats and infant carriers, each with appropriate harness systems. Children up to approximately 1.50 m tall can sit comfortably under the weather canopy; thanks to the wooden bench and backrest, it can be retrofitted/adjusted later (additional straps, holes, etc.).

Yes. Assistive devices can be attached to the bike; alternatively, something can be hitched to the back (e.g., a trailer) so that a wheelchair or rehab buggy can come along. The result: all the essentials are with you on one trip.

Getting into the Inclusion Speedster is almost as easy as in a low-floor bus thanks to its level floor. Ideal for people with walking difficulties.
